We Honor Veterans

The Residential Hospice Commitment to Veterans

Residential Hospice is proud of those who have served our country, and we understand that our patients who are Veterans may have unique interests and needs related to their service.

Residential Hospice is proud of those who have served our country, and we understand that our patients who are Veterans may have unique interests and needs related to their service. That is why we are proud partners in the We Honor Veterans Program (WHV), developed by the National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the Department of Veteran Affairs to develop understanding of and serve the medical, emotional and spiritual needs of our Veterans as they approach the end of life.

As a WHV partner, we work hard to reach higher and higher levels of achievement, represented by WHV as one to five stars. Residential Hospice has 11 locations participating in WHV, and two have earned five-star status so far. We continually work to progress further by working with WHV, community partners and the Veterans Administration to integrate best practices and valuable services for providing end-of-life care.
